10 Reasons to Study (That Aren’t Grades)
• 1/2/20 • 10:30 pm •
- To grow your knowledge!
- To explore a subject and discover possible new interests
- To take full advantage of the gift of education
- To make yourself proud
- To pursue your dreams and work towards the future you want
- To be a positive example and role model for those around you
- To decrease your stress levels later on since you’ll have done some studying already so you won’t need to cram as much
- To learn things that might come up later in life and be useful (random trivia, anyone?)
- To be That Person who knows all the answers but doesn’t have to flaunt it in order to prove it
- To understand the way that different subjects and disciplines intersect and can be intertwined in neat ways that might not be immediately apparent
(Disclaimer: studying in order to get good grades is a perfectly valid reason to study! I just see that all the time as the main motivator for students so I wanted to add some other reasons that one might have for studying! You also definitely don’t have to be motivated by all of the things I said, these are just some ideas and things that I personally find inspirational!)
